LIVESTRONG at the YMCA - Next Session Starts September 15

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Celebrates Graduates with Potluck Celebration
The Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA proudly celebrated the most recent graduates of its LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program with a heartfelt potluck gathering on their final day, July 9. Participants, staff, and supporters came together to honor the hard work, progress, and camaraderie developed over the past 12 weeks.
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free, 12-week program designed specifically for adult cancer survivors who have recently become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and/or disease. With a focus on rebuilding strength, increasing energy levels, and improving overall wellness, the program offers a supportive, small-group environment led by certified YMCA instructors.
Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. and include a combination of cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, balance, and flexibility exercises.
The next session begins on September 15, 2025, and is now open for registration.
To get more information, stop by the Membership Services Desk or click HERE to fill out the Livestrong Interest Form and an employee will reach out to you within 3 business days.
Participants work with YMCA staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve their goals such as building muscle mass and strength, increasing flexibility and endurance; and improving confidence and self-esteem.
By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG®at the YMCA is helping people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body.
While enrolled in this free program Survivors and their caregiver will receive all the benefits of the Y membership and may utilize the facility, participate in value-added or designated classes while actively participating in the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA exercise program.
