COME OUT AND HAVE SOME FUN WITH US, AND HELP US SOLVE SOME PROBLEMS...

Our special events are fundraisers that are meant to go above and beyond our annual operating financial needs.  These events are meant to raise money for socially responsible causes that we feel we can help solve.  Our most recent initiatives are focused around improving youth obesity rates in our community.  In 2010 the Manitowoc/ Two Rivers Y raised over $90,000 towards the addition of an interactive youth arcade we call the XRKADE.  Our hopes are that through our work and the XRKADE, youth and families that participate will not only have a great time but build a life-long appreciation for the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.  Families are a big part of our equation, because we understand that we need to reach more than just our youth to make a difference.

This year we are continuing to fight to reverse youth obesity in our community but from a new angle.  We’ve realize that we have an opportunity to get youth and adults moving in a new way by revitalizing our racquet sports programs.  Sports like tennis, racquet ball, pickle ball and even table tennis can be extremely fun and inviting if offered in a new and exciting way.

Make sure you mark your calendars for the 3nd Annual Y Sports Night.  This year our theme is heading back to our future.  So, come hungry for a TAILGATE, grab your favorite Wisconsin team gear, lace up your tennis shoes, and limber up. Along with the Tailgate, we'll be holding an interactive competition using video and pinball games from our past, as well as a silent and live auction.

Join us for a day on the course for a great cause.  You'll have the game of your life our these greens.  You aren't imagining things, your dreams have come true. The cup is twice the size.  Enjoy lunch before the shotgun start in our best ball tournament.  The course will be full of fun and games for the day, followed by dinner and live aution.
